Kapil Sharma Tweets To PM Narendra Modi “Yeh Hain Aapke Achhe Din?”



Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis promised to take strict action on Friday after star on-screen humorist Kapil Sharma complained to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Twitter about alleged corruption in Mumbai’s civic body BMC.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) solicited Sharma to name the official who demanded a bribe. “We request Mr. Sharma to share the name of the official and enable BMC to take strict action,” chief of the BMC’s vigilance department, Manohar Pawar, said.

Later Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis responded to Kapil’s tweet saying: “Kapil bhai please provide all information. Have directed MC, BMC to take the strictest action. We will not spare the culprit.”


Kapil’s posts is arousing a debate on corruption and also a political crossfire. He posted another tweet in the evening saying “I just voiced my concern on the corruption I faced with certain individuals. It’s Not a blame on any political party is it BJP, MNS or ShivSena.”

Kapil hosts a weekend show which features celebrities and few other comedians. Cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu, who as of late has quit the BJP. He declared his own gathering in Punjab yesterday, is also a regular on the show.

According to the reports the 35-year-old comedy host bags around Rs. 60 lakh for every episode.

Once he said in an interview that he wants to have PM Modi as a guest on his show and discuss anything besides politics.
